Terms & Conditions
Tuff Trailers 5 Year Warranty Tuff Trailers Ltd guarantees its new trailers to be free from defects in material and craftsmanship. Tuff Trailers 5-year warranty pertains to the steel chassis frame of our trailers and applies exclusively to our fully assembled Tuff Trailers. The benefits provided by this warranty supplement any other rights and remedies available to consumers under applicable laws concerning the goods or services covered by the warranty.
Warranty Period for Recreational Use: The warranty period commences on the date of the initial sale to a retail purchaser/customer or the date when the product is first put into service/use, whichever occurs first. Repair or replacement of parts or the provision of services under this warranty does not extend the duration of this limited warranty beyond its original expiration date from the date of purchase.
Conditions for Obtaining Warranty Coverage: Warranty coverage under our Warranty is accessible solely to retail customers who purchase directly from Tuff Trailers or one of our authorised agents. Once the appropriate registration information is completed with Tuff Trailers or its authorised dealer/agent after the sale, and the pre-delivery inspection process is finalized and documented, warranty coverage becomes available upon proper registration of the product by the authorised dealer/agent. Inaccurate warranty registration information may void the warranty at Tuff Trailers sole discretion. The trailer must be maintained in a safe and roadworthy condition as required for use on New Zealand roads. Tuff Trailers reserves the right to make warranty coverage contingent upon the trailer having current registration and/or a valid warrant of fitness (WOF) inspection.
This limited warranty covers manufacturing defects only: Please note that consumable items such as light bulbs, inner tubes, tires, wheel bearings, etc., are not included. Tuff Trailers (or its appointed dealer/agents) liability is limited to the cost of repair and/or replacement of the product under warranty. The warranty is void if the defect is caused by misuse, neglect, tampering, incorrect adjustment, modification, or overloading, or if unauthorized alterations are made. This limited warranty does not cover electrical system corrosion, damage resulting from abuse or improper service, corrosion to accessories or instruments, or corrosion caused by use in a saltwater environment.
The customer must provide Tuff Trailers or its authorised dealer/agents with a reasonable opportunity to repair and access to the product for warranty service/repair. Warranty claims must be submitted by delivering the product for inspection to Tuff Trailers or one of its authorized dealer/agents. If the purchaser/customer cannot deliver the product to Tuff Trailers or one of its dealer/agents, written notice must be provided to Tuff Trailers or its authorized dealer/agent, who will then arrange for collection, inspection, and any covered repairs under the warranty. In such cases, the purchaser/customer is responsible for all related transportation charges and/or travel time. If the service/repair provided is not covered by this warranty, the purchaser/customer is also responsible for all related labour, materials, and other expenses associated with that service/repair. Unless arranged or requested by Tuff Trailers, the purchaser/customer should not ship the product or parts of the product directly to Tuff Trailers. Proof of purchase through Tuff Trailers or one of its approved dealer/agents must be presented at the time warranty service/repair is requested to obtain warranty coverage.
